Cut-Sew-Wear visits Philadelphia Fabric Row

Selecting quality fabric is the essential step in creating any garment/project.  Buying fabric online is always an option but there is nothing quite like feeling and touching the fabric.  We are all frequent fabric shoppers for specific projects or some of us just like to add to our fabric collection.
For this trip we headed to Philadelphia's historic Fabric Row.  Historically this has been the location of many men's apparel fabric vendors for nearly a century.  Today there are still nearly 5 blocks of fabric shops that for the most part sell upholstery fabric.

We were not disappointed by the quality selections and very hospitable shopkeepers.

We of course stopped for a break at one of Philly's famous deli's.

A gorgeous day for our shopping marathon

And we ended the day with some refreshing libations!

We look forward to seeing you on our next fabric shopping trip.
